My Résumé
I think its sad people have to quantify their achievements. Its demeaning to be summed up in a few words but anyway campus recruitment is starting for our college. Its a bit late as the authorities thought the students would stop concentrating on studies if they were recruited earlier than the fourth year.
The first company scheduled for us is Tata Consultancy Services who will be starting on Wednesday. They’re offering a salary of Rs. 30000 which is as much as I can hope to get.
Here’s my résumé, my life summed up in 53 kilobytes. I got a little help from Marc’s résumé which he benevolently shared with me.

Oooh, 30,000 rupees is a lot of money, Sir Ain. Interesting link to the résumé though. And Marc’s ‘tésumé’ is some innovative method of getting a job? I wouldn’t expect any less.

It would have taken you less effort to simply say typo.
And 30000 isn’t a lot of money, you have to be an engineer to understand all this.
June 12th, 2007 at 11:09 am
Acting all high and mighty on me, eh? Oooh, you’re an engineer, I’m awestruck! Such brilliance!
June 12th, 2007 at 11:40 am
That’s not it, foo’! We torture ourselves for 4 years and when you take that into account 30k a month is hardly enough compensation.
Suren the link doesn’t work. Anyway, don’t give out my carefully created resume format to every freeloader on the web. I did create it from scratch.

What Marc said.
Its not your resume that I’ve linked to, its mine which I also created from scratch. Screw the link.

A rumour thats making the rounds - the TCS examination is the exact same thing they had last year.
I’m guessing their line of thought was that it worked last year so it’ll work this year too.
I’m laying claim to half your salary for the invaluable advice.
June 12th, 2007 at 7:38 pm
And I lay claim to the other half.
June 12th, 2007 at 9:16 pm
Not attending the interview, so you each get half of zero, enjoy! TCS has a two year bond.
June 12th, 2007 at 10:37 pm
Treacherous bastard.
June 12th, 2007 at 10:39 pm
Every company has a similar bond.
June 12th, 2007 at 11:26 pm
WTF? Infosys never had one. Atleast I don’t remember hearing about one.
June 13th, 2007 at 8:08 am
Infosys does have one.
June 13th, 2007 at 1:35 pm
Obviously. They all do.
June 15th, 2007 at 12:34 am
MNCs like Google India, Yahoo, IBM don’t have one.
June 15th, 2007 at 11:03 pm
That’s because no one will want to leave their company. They’re confident of that.
June 16th, 2007 at 1:36 pm
Oooh, IBM. I-B-M. Oooh.
June 16th, 2007 at 11:54 pm
Yeah, Suren will repair those machines in Food World.
June 19th, 2007 at 10:55 pm
Infosys has a one year bond for us. TCS, 2 years. CTS, no bond. There are a bunch of Indian companies that don\’t have a bond.
June 20th, 2007 at 2:47 pm
Like what? And why do you keep escaping your apostrophes?
June 20th, 2007 at 4:50 pm
Beats me, its the proxy server\’s fault.
