Subliminal messages

Ever get that urge to smoke Marijuana while listening to Another One Bites The Dust? I can’t blame you, its right there in the song: “Its fun to smoke Marijuana.”

Some artists use a technique called backmasking to hide messages in their songs. These songs when played forward have some pretty innocuous lyrics but play them backwards and the truth is revealed!

Check out Jeff Milner’s Backmasking site for the clips of some popular songs with backmasked messages.

And as usual Wikipedia for an extensive list of songs.

    Satanist!

  2. Suren Says:

I hope you aren’t addressing me sir. The backmasked messages in my tabla-guitar songs aren’t satanic.

  3. Marc Says:

I was referring to your non-backmasked music.

  4. Anusha Says:

    Another wikipedia link!! *rolls eyes*

  5. Marc Says:

Everyone uses Wikipedia. Deal with it.

  6. Anusha Says:

I’ll come up with something new. And call it “call it anything you want but not wp”.

But the downside is to obtain the knowledge on creating a search engine I’d probably have to refer to WP anyway. So, I quit.

  7. Marc Says:

Good choice. You can’t win against Wikipedia.

  8. Suren Says:

Its a formality, have to link to Wikipedia. Did you check out the backmasked songs? The Britney Spears one is evil.

  9. Anusha Says:

I refuse to look at any Wikipedia links. Plus, I have a life.

  10. Arun Says:

There’s a Wiki for that too! Amazing, isn’t it?

  11. Marc Says:

Anusha, Wikipedia has nothing to do with your life. It’s an online encyclopedia.

  12. Suren Says:

I know! She just won\’t let it be.

  13. Marc Says:

She thinks Wikipedia is some super geeky programming thing. It’s just a very good online service.

  14. Anusha Says:

There’s google too. It’s something about the excessive use of Wikipedia that I hate. Ask anyone about anything, “check it up on Wikipedia!”. It might be great to you, but I won’t use it.
    Oh, Suren. it’s “won’t”, not “won\’t”.

  15. Marc Says:

Everyone uses Wikipedia for everything for a reason. Because it’s the best. Same with Google. We don’t understand your paranoia.

Suren already mentioned that his proxy was ‘escaping his apostrophes’. Which means that they got added automatically.

  16. Anusha Says:

Ah ok, I didn’t see his explanation.
So what if I hate it anyway? You like it, you use it. I don’t, so I won’t. Simple.

  17. Suren Says:

Why do you hate it man? Poor thing, its just lying there minding its own business. Check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia to see why it rules. :D

  18. Marc Says:

    Pwned!

  19. Anusha Says:

    Did he call me ‘man’?

  20. Suren Says:

    In a manner of speaking.

  21. Marc Says:

    Totally! Ha ha ha!
