Picture Totally Imperfect
I had to take a proper passport size photograph of myself to attach to my résumés (and when I say proper I mean no malicious grin on my face, no trying out that I-don’t-give-a-crap look…). So this is the result of subduing my hair, evicting the creature perched on my chin, dressing up less barbarically and basically trying to look normal.
Is it a universal law that we must look weird in these photos or is it that we look strange when we pretend to be something we’re not? Think about it.

Proxy problems dude. Whenever I submit the post it changes the link to redirect through the proxy. But it should still work… fix please. Unban my IP or something.

Ha. Subscribe to the feed.
But now the photo is missing from the field. Suren, it’ll be in your blog folder under uploads so simply post the URI here.

Man, I hate showing my passport size photos to anybody. No matter how hard you try to get them right you are never satisfied with the picture.

Seriously?..mine come out fine..suprising.

What rubbish! You’re living in denial. Show me a photo and I’ll decide.

Fine, I’ll show you my passport. To look good in a photo, you have to feel good and more importantly, not do any of the things the photographer asks you to do. Like the ’tilt to the left’, ‘chin up’ and all that.

Rubbish. It all depends on how the imp inside the camera paints you.
Mine turn out great all the time.

It reminds me of a short story by Stephen Leacock where a photographer is not quite satisfied with the writer’s looks and calls him ugly.
